Athletics

Athletics played an important role in Celtic culture. They were a way for the Celts to celebrate their physical prowess and to develop their skills and strength. The games also served as a social gathering and a way to build community.

The tradition of Celtic athletics continues to this day. The Celtic spirit of athleticism and sportsmanship is celebrated annually at our festival through a variety of sports that are played today.

The Celts were a passionate people who loved physical activity and competition. Their love of athletics is still celebrated today in the many Gaelic games that are played around the world and at our annual Celtic Festival.
